We're pleased to announce that driver's education classes will be offered at Terra Nova in partnership with Safeway Driving School. Here are the key details:
Classes will be held on campus at Terra Nova School
10 lessons total, scheduled across January 26-29 and February 2-4, and February 9-11.
Sessions meet from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Jan 21: Tamarack–Backwoods Survival experience- ALL SCHOOL
Students will build teamwork and real world survival skills in the outdoors while exploring how humans and animals adapt to their environments, bringing Terra Nova’s mission to life.
Jan 23: Design Trip, University of Minnesota- LIMITED SEATS
This trip will get a select few students out of the classroom and into real college design spaces, where they can explore creative careers, connect art to tangible skills, and imagine paths they might pursue in the future.
Jan 27: Guthrie Theater experience: Somewhere- LIMITED SEATS
An opportunity for a select few students to enjoy an energetic show filled with music and dance while learning about chasing dreams during a time of major change.

Sophia is looking forward to getting to know students and helping them in their educational journey. She is an alumni and very excited to be back at Terra Nova. Student Voice Opportunity in Minnesota:
The Minnesota Youth Council is made up of 36 youth, between the ages of 13-19 years old, attending school around the state. Council members receive stipends to serve as liaisons between young people statewide, youth-led and youth-serving organizations, and the adults elected to lead Minnesota from the Capitol in Saint Paul. Through their official role advising the Governor and state legislature, Council representatives are building a state where all decisions that affect young people are made with and by young people.
