Terra Nova showed up in full Halloween spirit! From silly to spooky, our costumes and community energy made October 31st 2025 unforgettable. We love celebrating together and creating moments that bring joy to our school family! 🧡🕷️
The MEADA (Mentorship, Education, and Drug Awareness) Coalition, in partnership with Sherburne County’s Substance Use Prevention (SUP) Coalition, is excited to host a special community event at the Monticello Emagine Theater: "Talk Early, Talk Often: The Dangers of Social Media".
The event will featuring a free screening of the documentary, “Can’t Look Away”, which discusses the dark side of social media and its impact on teen mental health and choices around substance use. After the film, there will be a panel discussion and resource-sharing to help families navigate social media use safely.
Date: Thursday, November 13
Time: 5-7pm
Location: Monticello Emagine Theater
Audience: Parents, caregivers, professionals working with youth and families, teens (middle school and older)
Terra Nova was recently awarded and celebrated for reaching our TEN year milestone!
The recent MACS (MN Association of Charter Schools) Annual Meeting & Celebration brought together nearly 150 chartered public school leaders, administrators, teachers, staff, board members, and community members, as well as sponsors of the Association, from across the state for an evening of celebration, connection, and reflection as the 2025-26 school year enters its second month.

Huge shoutout to Alex for planning an unforgettable adventure! 🌟 From roasting hot dogs 🌭 and giant marshmallows for s’mores 🍫🔥, to tag games in the woods 🏃♂️🌳 and campfire tunes 🎶—the fun never stopped.
We camped in tents ⛺ under the stars ✨ and slept great… except for our turkey friends 🦃 strolling by in the morning to say hello.
And of course, Drew couldn’t resist sneaking in some science ✨—with metals burning to show off a rainbow of colors. 🌈🔬
Memories made, laughter shared, and a perfect mix of fun + learning in our school forest. 🏕️💫

🌲 Our High School Leadership students are getting their hands dirty for a great cause! They're actively removing invasive buckthorn from our campus while developing essential motor skills - practicing locomotor movements (walking, running, carrying), non-locomotor skills (bending, stretching, balancing), and manipulative skills (gripping, lifting, coordinating tools).
This hands-on environmental stewardship project is preparing our outdoor space for an exciting low ropes course and future outdoor classrooms! 💪
Students are gaining authentic life skills, including teamwork, problem-solving, environmental awareness, and physical fitness - all while making a real difference for our local ecosystem. It's amazing to see learning come alive outside the traditional classroom!
